Texas at Toronto: Yu Darvish Pitching!

Yu Darvish at the mound
The texas rangers are in town with thier japanese pitching sensation.
I haven't been to as many games as i had by this time last year.
I'm just here to see a few innings, and mostly to see Yu Darvish pitch  in Toronto. When I was in Japan in December I waited to find out if Yu would be pitching for us. The Japanese posting system decided it wasn't meant to be. Im not even climbing the ramp to my assigned seat, Im watching from the top of the 100 Level.
A lot of Japanese people are in attendance (they love to take pictures of Yu.
When Darvish hit Edwin Encarnation with a wild pitch Jays fans chant "Screw Yu", and of course the obvious "fuck Yu".
Texas leads 2 zip at the end of the third and I'm heading home. There is another game tomorrow.

Baltimore at Toronto

Matt, Mo-Mo, Anna, & Me
I used social media to find a guest for tonights game against the Balmer O-birds. an hour after my post on Fbook I got a call from my buddy Momo. Our mutual friend Matt aslo expressed an intrest which pointed out the fatal flaw in the Fan Pass. Because it is an assigned seat in a section of assigned seats you cant purchase additional tickets. This wasn't a problem with last seasons Star Pass, although scalping was. I understand the reason for the change but I don't see why my seat can't be re-assigned when all I want is to sit with my friends.

Of course we sat together anyway. It seems much of the section is empty so we sit a few rows down from my assigned seats.

Mo hit the Jays shop to buy a fresh new lid. I joined him to check out the new shirts and stuff and wanted everything in the store, including the winter jacket.

Even though we lost the game 5 to 7, homers were dinged and good times were had by all.

Boston at Toronto

The Nosebleeds, Skydome
I have 2 Blue Jays Fan Passes, I can see 80 home games for $1.25 a game. I know I won't see every game but I will update this blog with the games I do catch. It's not so much about documenting the plays at it is about remembering which games I managed to go to and who with. It would probably be better if I updated it live, so I will try that in the future.

The 2012 Fan pass replaces the 2011 Toronto Star Pass, which was fraught with scalping problem.

I wrote about my issues with the Star pass in my post Scalpers suck Blue Jays Rock. Scalpers were redeeming rows worth of passes, the limit per person was 6. Many of the best available tickets of the 500 level sat empty when the bastard scalpers failed to sell the tickets to visiting rubes.

The new pass is for a fixed seat and the pass is scanned upon entry and they print a ticket, so shit-smelling scalpers can't take advantage of what exists for Toronto's hardcore baseball fans and is no doubt the cheapest seats in Major League Baseball.

I went to my first game of the season with my brother Paul. It was a good time except the dude behind us talked non-stop and was one of those strange Blue Jay fans who didn't have a nice thing to say about a single player.
Me and Paul at the Jays Game

We won the game 7-3  but by far the best part of the game was the streaker. Everyone started screaming like a home run was hit. He got so much distance. Check out the video below, it's not mine, I was laughing too hard to get my camera to work
